![]() ![]() Important for an external enclosure is that it has a good controller on board so that you can benefit from the speed of the drive inside it. ![]() I've seen many different USB3.0 external drives that perform badly, even some with an SSD inside. Placing the database on an external hard drive is possible but as George and Preston also mentioned its important to choose the right kind of drive. Is it possible to share the catalogue between the two machines (condition: should be possible without internet)? Probably have the catalogue on an external HD (where I import the pics from the camera too) and access this catalogue from both machines (for sure not on the same time, but would be great if I can add new picture on the macbook air during the trip to the catalogue and then have them available for editing on the workstation by plug in the HD and start photo supreme)? OR, if working, is that (running from a HD) too slow to make sense? And how is the performance of Photo Supreme on the Macbook Air (4GB)? And, a last question, if I buy the software do I have the right to install it on both machine? OK, if I buy it from the app store I have, but how is it if I buy it from your web page?ĭeep_thought wrote:Is it possible to share the catalogue between the two machines (condition: should be possible without internet)? I'm using two computers, a Macbook Air 11 to carry around as part of my photo equipment and a bigger Powermac 17' I primarely use as workstation (too big to carry around on the most photo trips) that I probably will replace soon by an MacPro or IMac. To check if it fit my needs I have some questions: Looking for a DAM-Software I found photo supreme and it looks very promising. ![]()
